Not Over, Just Beginning

Fall Flowers

By outward signs, falling leaves, graying skies and shorter days, October seems to usher in a season of endings. In my own experience, the loss of family members and friends this year, emphasizes the feeling of relationships coming to an end and inevitable change.

But that is only one interpretation of the autumn season. In the Hebrew calendar, Rosh Hashanah, or “head of the year” is celebrated during this season as a time of new beginning. I look at this time of the year that commemorates the “creation of the world,” as an appropriate time to begin anew.

How can I not feel invigorated as fall so wonderfully showcases my favorite color- deep crimson red? We have much to celebrate and be thankful for.

Nice writting and subject. I was away while you wrote enjoying the storm at street level while you wrote quietly no floor 6 watching from a higher position like a cat on a high perch.
